Let’s grow old. Drink beer, take photos.
Hold me ever so close as we wander around in the light of the night.
I’ll let you into my world where the sky is on the earth and the earth is in the sky.
We’ll walk and then we’ll fly. Step by step we’ll begin to float.
We’ll reach the cool, bright sun then hop to the moon from the boat.
The rocks and craters may be sharp but our love will be just as tough.
We will grow old and I will live on and off.
We’ll listen to our music as we sip our drinks.
And when the earth does us part our love won’t shrink.
I’ll remember you with these photos held in my hand and pressed tightly against my skin.
I know you are there, I know you exist, it’s just a matter of finding, that’s what I’ve missed.
